bad in general

I bought this sound system to go with my 47 inch Vizio, and let's just say I will never purchase one again. I bought it mainly for the 3 HDMI inputs, and that I wanted a surround sound system. The installation was fairly easy, but it did not come with a manual. This is a must for when you are trying to program how you want your movie, music, etc. to sound when you are playing it. I did eventually figure out how to get things set just from messing around with it. The sound quality pretty much sucks. The tv speakers are far better and much clearer than the theater system itself. There is plenty of speaker wire for the back speakers, but I never could get them to work unless I did a sound check with the systems remote. Overall I still think you pay too much for what you get and I wouldn't recommend this to anyone.

System decent - Remote totally useless!

System sounds quite well once you have configured it. However, it is IMPOSSIBLE to use the remote even when 4 feet away. MOST of the buttons either don't work or only work partially. Calling RCA for a replacement is like dealing with IRS. You cannot get one without providing a written proof of purchase. RCA obviously recognizes that this remote is junk since they have put a replacement model out. I have had to purchase this $28.00 remote in order to get any satisfaction from the system.

Difficult to understand connection systems. It is confusing to use. I have not used for more than 1 1/2 months and it went out and requires me to spend further for repairs. I just sent it off yesterday and will have to wait to see how repairs go.
